We had earlier reported that director Priyadarshan is all set to direct Tamil remake of Malayalam blockbuster film Maheshinte

Prathikaram. Udayanidhi Stalin and Namitha Pramod will do the roles of Fahadh Faasil and Aparna Balamurali respectively in the Tamil remake. The makers are busy finalising the rest of the cast and crew. As per sources, Tamil actor Samuthirakani would be playing the role Jimson which was essayed by Sujith Sankar in Malayalam. There is also a report that M.S Bhaskar will do the role played by Alencier in the original.

Samuthirakani had played a villain role earlier also in the Priyadarshan's directorial, Oppam. The entire shooting of the film will take place in Theni.
