Within no time, the teaser has achieved another record. Reportedly, it is the most viewed Indian film teaser with more than 17.1 million views.

According to the reports, the distribution rights for the film have been sold at record prices. Film enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for the film to be released as they want to know whether it break the box-office record of Aamir Khan starrer PK - the highest grossing Indian film.

The film is set to be released in more than 5000 theatres. Ealier, movies like PK and Baahubali were released in more than 5000 theatres.

Along with Rajinikanth, several foreign actors, including Taiwanese actor Winston Chao is playing pivotal roles in this film along with Radhika Apte, Dhansika, Dinesh Ravi, Kalaiyarasan, and John Vijay. The film was shot in locations like Malaysia, Bangkok and Hong Kong.

Style Icon is back on track

The previous films of Rajinikanth didn’t do well at the box office and it seems the star was more cautious in selecting the scripts later. He tactically chose the script of Kabali to come back with a bang. As per the trailer, Rajini plays his own age in this film and it is one of the major attractions of this film. The teaser also depicts Rajini’s late 80s style with same costumes. This prompts his fans to celebrate the film with 100 percent expectation.

PA Ranjith joins hands with Rajini for the first time

PA Ranjith is one of the most acclaimed directors of this time and he already proved his craftsmanship with his works Attakathi and Madras. Both films were well received by critics and the audience. When such a new-generation director joins hands with a legend like Rajini, expectations are sky high.

Fresh Music - a success factor

Unlike other Rajini films, Kabali’s music section is handled by a comparatively new comer Santhosh Narayanan, who is famous with his songs from various movies including Attakkathi, Pizza, Soodhu Kawum and Madras. The track ‘Nerippu Daa’ is already in chartbusters and it seems other songs in this movie will also rule the chartbusters in the coming days.

Reportedly, the the top 10 winners in the contest will get to watch the first show of Kabali on the day of release. Three other winners will stand a chance to fly to the locations where the movie was shot in Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok.

Heavy rush to get Kabali’s distribution

Distributors all over the country were falling over each other to get distribution rights for Kabali and as per reports crores have been spent for the same. Popular Malayalam superstar Mohanlal bagged the film’s right to distribute it in Kerala region. Since Rajinikanth has a huge fan following in all the states in India, distributors are confident enough about the films run.According to the reliable sources, the release rights of the film in North India have been bagged by Fox Star India banner.

Well, we have to wait until July 22 to see what is going to happen. According to film enthusiasts and critics across the country, the film already created history and after the release, it will create another history along with breaking all major records.
